This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am excited to share with you an incredible opportunity to support my students in their artistic journey! I’m requesting a set of high-quality art supplies that will help bring their creativity to life. These supplies will make a significant difference in their learning by giving them the tools they need to express themselves and explore their artistic talents in a way that traditional classroom materials cannot.
The specific items I am requesting, will empower my students to experiment with different techniques, learn about color theory, and develop their skills.
With these materials, they will be able to engage in hands-on projects that bring their lives through visual art. These tools will encourage creative thinking and problem-solving, skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
My goal for this project is not just to enhance their technical skills, but to foster a love of art and build confidence in their ability to create. Art is a powerful expression, and I want my students to know that their voices and perspectives matter. Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and may not have access to quality art materials at home. By providing these supplies, we are giving them a space to explore, innovate, and discover their unique talents.
I am requesting the following:
Canvas- students to create art on- I have gone through my fair share I have paid for or donated. I am just about out.
Paint
Refillable glue bottles have 10 but have noticed I need more.
Color of the World pencils- One course I teach is ethnic studies and we use skin tones for our art.
Scissors- I need to refill the ones that have become lost.
Acrylic paint sets - had many but they were out of paint on many or all colors.
