My Project

As a teacher who loves running I am all about inspiring students to make healthy life choices. Encouraging students to run with friends through a program called Girls on the Run helps me to do just that.

Not everyone loves exercising or running, but if you make it fun, then students are more likely to participate and develop life long, healthy habits.

The culmination of the running program involves students running in a 5K. Colorful tutus will get them pumped for the 5K and will keep them safe during the race. Snacks will keep them fueled and ready to go.
