My Project

In my typical day, I see about 165 students and we learn about Advanced Placement Psychology and Advanced Placement African American Studies!

55% of the students that I interact with are low-income students who are every bit deserving of a classroom that can provide them with all types of different learning opportunities.

I believe I have the best job and love coming into my classroom every day. I love everything about learning and teaching; however, I feel that my students still have barriers to their learning. The donation you make will help me tear down the barriers and help to engage all of my students.

The materials that are within my ask are utilized to give students hands-on learning experience. It allows me to engage with individual students and also the classroom as a group. These projects and lesson plans allow students to personalize their own learning (which has been proven to be much more useful than constant lectures).

In addition, AP African American Studies is a pilot course. This means that these students and I are discovering what the class can and will be as we continue to offer the course. I want to ensure that I have access to supplemental resources that will aid in my teaching of the content.
