My Students

Third grade is an important time for elementary school students. They come into third grade as the younger kids in elementary school and leave as the older kids, model students for the rest of the school. My students come into school every day eager to learn and excited to engage with whatever we are learning that day, whether it be spelling, vocabulary, summarizing, multiplication, learning about the solar system, or force and motion. My students ask challenging questions and never settle for less than best.

My Project

These materials will provide students the opportunity to develop socially, physically and mentally! It will help ensure that recess time is maximized and students will be ready to engage when they come back into the classroom. Without these materials, students will share a blacktop with other classes as we only have access to the playground twice a week. The basketballs and kickballs will go a long way with the number of students that will be influenced by the presence of these materials. The jump ropes will allow students who don't usually have the opportunity to exercise, to increase their heart rate, and get creative with other students!
