Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My cohort of 3rd-grade students is diverse, intelligent, cooperative, and eager to share their ideas. With this new rug, my students will have an adequate-sized sitting space where they can interact with each other at different times of the school day. The rug area is used for whole-class morning meetings, social-emotional learning, chapter book read-alouds, and Math and ELA instruction.

This new rug will allow everyone in the class to have adequate space to sit, which will enhance equity and inclusiveness.

The learning environment matters in a classroom and with this rug, the learning environment that I have created will only become more positive and less stress-free.
