Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My fourth graders go to a school that is near thriving neighborhoods. I teach a Dual Language group of students at a Title I school where one hundred percent of our students receive free lunch. Most have perfect attendance and strive to be the best class in the school. My students deserve a positive setting because they are hard workers.

The student population is unique and diverse.

Many of my students face challenges due to economic disadvantages, but that does not keep them from being eager to learn.

My Project

After a world of virtual learning, students will finally be able to come to school and have their space to do reading in math in the classrooms. The rugs and seats requested will help the students feel comfortable as they dive into a book or feel like they need a break from their chairs to work on their math. Students will have the flexibility to move around and work in a space that they enjoy. This will help them want to come to school daily which will help them learn and engage with their classmates.
