Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We need a new area rug for our block area. In a Pre-K class we have many items that are not found in the older grades. The rug is the center of our class. Almost like the heart of the home.

I have a class of 20 high energy 4 year olds.

They love to explore the block area when it is learn time. They also enjoy sitting on a cozy rug for greeting when they are each acknoledged by a hug, high five, air hug, or fist pump. Rugs also offer visual organization to help students create bounderies around their bodies and help them pay attention. The rugs are now ready to be replaced. They have gotten old and dingy not great for little ones to creep and crawl on .
