My Students

My students thirst for knowledge and wisdom, but often lack the resources to quench their thirst.

We are a business-themed public high school, located in the heart of Queens, NY, the most culturally and ethnically diverse neighborhood in the world.

The children who enter my classroom, come from all over NYC. As such, they carry with them a wealth of knowledge that contributes to a dynamic classroom. However, many of my students also come from economically disadvantaged homes. Therefore, many times, resources and some basic supplies, and equipment for extracurricular activities and team sports, are scarce.

My Project

Safety first, right? I coach my high school's Girls Rugby Team, which is comprised of the most amazing young ladies, you will ever meet. They are sweet, kind, and gentle, but on the field, they mean business!

When playing a full-contact sport, like RUGBY, accidental injury, at some point in the season, is virtually inevitable.

As such, I need your help to keep my girls safe, and to minimize injury, during practice and games. My girls need training supplies, such as a ball, a tee, and a tackling dummy, to improve their skills.

However, they also need helmets, to keep their heads safe, and first aid supplies, in the event of minor scrapes and bruises.

Please help us train successfully and safely!
