My Project

My students are curious and self directed learners. They are a diverse community of learners ranging in their culture, language, gender, values and beliefs. They love the flexibility and the autonomy they have in our classroom to explore their interests. We try to enrich our students with the confidence and self-direction they need to navigate the world around them. Students who are invested in their learning are known to be successful throughout their schooling.

One of their favorite parts of the day is center based learning which is actually a big part of our daily routine and lasts approximately two and half hours.

It is a time when the students chose what they want to learn or explore more about in the classroom. Many times students enjoy working on the floor by building tall sculptures and structures, reading books, putting on puppet shows, and other activities however, sitting on the hardwood floor gets uncomfortable. These rug spots would be the perfect solution to allow my students to comfortably explore the different centers in the classroom. The can put the rug spots wherever they want without any fuss.
