This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I gave a lot of thought before I submitted this project. I work in middle school and working with my special ed students to prevent behavior and provide relaxation is a MUST. Safety comes first. I am trying to have my PT gym set up with a comic/reading area where they can relax and read, on a new rug, and pillows instead of lying on the floor when they get tired, during the period of agitation which is a safety concern. My goal is to create a space that feels welcoming and safe for all students. I know my students will love this rug! Any bit will help, thank you in advance!
