My Students

My students started their journey two years ago as strings ensemble musicians. In order to keep playing, we need some materials that will help us make sure our bows keep working, our instruments don't slip from us, and our fellow musicians who have had instruments broken will have replacement violins and a cello in order to play again!

Many of my students come from struggling backgrounds and music allows them to express themselves creatively as individuals and as a team.

In music class, my students explore singing, playing instruments, and all kinds of music in the world around them. My students have started learning how to play on strings instruments in the past two years and showed determination in doing so. I would like my students to have the opportunity to keep learning with these materials!

My Project

With these shoulder rests, my students will be able to enjoy learning how to play these instruments individually and as part of an ensemble with the proper technique. Shoulder rests are essential for each violin student, at every stage of learning! With rosin, my students will be able to make sure their bows will play with sound on the instrument. With the replacement violins and cellos, my students will be able to play these instruments again and be a part of the ensemble!

Playing an instrument with the proper learning materials and being part of an ensemble are unique opportunities that I want my students to have as they continue to grow as musicians.
