My Students
My unique group of students comes from low-income families, foster care, transitional living situations, and more. Each student has incredible potential to grow and learn in our restrictive educational environment. Their behavior is documented daily and they are consistently reinforced positively when they are doing well. We are a small school and we view our learning differences as opportunities and creative challenges.
My Project
We will be using the screen in lieu of the used and damaged Promethean board with which we are currently working in our classroom. While the screen will be used to present writing prompts and bell ringers connecting to various standards, we will specifically be using the screen to view dramatic adaptations, as part of standard CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.11-12.7.
Our students have various learning disabilities and health conditions that lead many of them to have incredibly short attention spans.
Being able to see a visual representation of the story or play that we are reading in class is integral to our students' understanding of the materials.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
