Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Planting initiatives provide a hands-on way for students to learn about environmental science, sustainability, and ecology. Through engaging with plants, students can study topics like photosynthesis, biodiversity, and the importance of green spaces in cities. This fosters a deeper understanding of environmental issues and helps cultivate a sense of responsibility toward protecting the planet.

The benefits of planting extend beyond immediate gains.

Funding this project for hydroponic gardens, planters, raised garden beds, gardening tools and more can create sustainable green spaces that will continue to thrive for years and provide ongoing benefits to students, teachers, and the community. These projects may also inspire students to pursue careers in environmental science, horticulture, or urban planning, thus shaping the future leaders of tomorrow.
