My Students

Hello! I teach in a K-2 school with approximately 1,000 students. Our school has a diverse population of students. My students are smart, enthusiastic, creative, hardworking, eager, and respectful. My classroom consists of students from all different backgrounds. I have high functioning students, low functioning students, and ELL students. My school offers reading and math interventions to aid struggling learners in their educational success.

I am dedicated to my students.

It is my goal to provide an inviting, nurturing, and warm classroom where each student feels comfortable.

Our school does not receive Title I funding. Thus, the technology and resources in my classroom are limited. Most of my resources are supplied by either myself or through parent donations. The environment provided by the administration, teachers, and staff is inviting and nurturing. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of each student that walks through the doors.

My Project

For this project I am asking for a variety of supplies so that my students have the opportunity to learn through different room transformations. What second grader doesn't enjoy walking into a room decorated like a construction zone, cafe, or operating room? The look on children's faces when they walk into their classroom to find it has been completely transformed over night is priceless. These types of activities restore a love of learning. The materials I am requesting will help to make learning exciting and memorable while challenging students at the same time.
