This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students deserve the same opportunities as students in neighboring schools and districts! They have great potential! Many of my students have personal struggles and tragedies to deal with outside of the classroom. I like to call our school a gem in a neighborhood that desperately needs it. Our school is special because of our staff, students and families, and we are doing our best to maintain our strong sense of community even during this COVID pandemic.

As we re-open our classrooms with a remote and/or hybrid model, I need to be better equipped to deliver instruction from home on remote teaching days.

My Project

As we navigate through hybrid and remote learning, I need to be able to provide my students with engaging lessons from home. I take much pride in my math classroom with colorful anchor charts and visuals on the walls to help my students comprehend the material being taught.

I need to be able to provide my students with the same colorful anchor charts and visuals, as they have in the classroom, when delivering pre-recorded and live lessons from home!

This project includes an adjustable height rolling whiteboard that I can use while seated or standing as I deliver instruction to my students. Also included are a set of color dry erase magnetic markers so that I can use color-coding to highlight different steps to a problem or different parts of a chart.
