Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember your first roller coaster? Did you consider the physics behind the thrill?

My students will be creating their own roller coasters as we learn about potential and kinetic energy!

The projects in my class always allow students to share, demonstrate, and bring their learning to life. Then during our school-wide exhibition, students will share their roller coasters that demonstrate their physics concepts.

My Project

My goal is to excite my student in the fields of math and science. The demand for jobs in these areas continues to grow and many students state, "I'm not good at math and science". My goal is to trick them. Engage them so they understand what they are learning and then see the pride on their faces as they impress our visitors with their models and explanations at exhibition.

I believe in project based learning, but the funding for classroom supplies has evaporated making PBL projects even more difficult to complete with students.

When I think back, I only remember the projects from my high school and hope to create that for my students.
