Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students suffer from sensory overload and simply need a soft place to land. Whether it is rubbing on a furry rug, rocking in a comfortable chair with a soft blanket or simply resting their eyes with soft classical music playing in the background, my students’ behavior and mindset benefit tremendously from an occasional break.

Students learning and comprehension are vastly increased when they are in a soothing, comfortable environment.

This project will be instrumental in decreasing my students’ anxiety and, therefore; increasing their ability to be successful in the classroom.
