My Students

The Super 2nd Graders are a group of 24 students in the Upper West side of Manhattan. It is an ICT classroom comprised of general education and special education students.

The Super 2nd Graders are an eager group of students with a love of learning.

They enjoy reading and writing about new topics and utilizing technology to research these new and exciting areas of study. The Super 2nd Graders is a group of wonderful students eager to try new things and learn new information every day!

My Project

The Super 2nd Graders will use these Fire tablets to assist with their journey towards a love of reading. Students will be able to access online reading programs where books are read aloud to students as they follow along. This will assist by allowing students to listen to the reading as they develop decoding skills and continue to improve their comprehension.

Along with improving their reading abilities, students will be able to research different topics in classes such as reading, writing, and social studies.

With tablets, students can work to research topics while fostering independence. Having access to technology within our classroom will be a great asset in our classroom!
