My Students

My students are eager readers! A typical day in my classroom each day involves tons of reading! My students are constantly reading. At the end of school year I want my students to be able to feel more confident with their reading skills and soar through their books!

My classroom consists of twelve hardworking and energetic students who will read any chance they get!

My twelve students are in a self-contained special education classroom due to various learning disabilities, many of which are literacy based. Despite these disabilities, my students are willing to do whatever it takes to learn! My students can't wait until reading workshop or independent reading each day!

My Project

These reading resources will be used daily in my classroom and will be located in my classroom library for all students to enjoy. Each student is given a book baggie and goes "book shopping" once a week to choose new books. Students look forward to this event each week because they are given the chance to choose new books to explore. These new books will keep my students engaged and excited about reading each week! Using these new resources will allow my students to continue to enjoy reading as well as develop their reading skills and reading fluency.

Donations to this project will improve my students' academic lives throughout the school year.

My students will continue to have a positive outlook about reading as well as learning. These new books will continue to make them life-long readers!
