My Students

Kindergarten is a place to foster a love of school and learning and that is exactly what we strive for each and every day in our classroom! We are a rigorous school that pushes kids to reach their fullest potential, but we also strive to infuse joy in all of the learning that happens!

My kindergartners are full of excitement for learning.

They love coming to school each day and soak up all the learning they can get. They all come from Washington, D.C. and have chosen this school to ensure success! With your help, we can get them there! In my classroom, there are 27 inspiring students. They are caring, loving, and have a thirst for knowledge. They come to school each day with a big smile on their faces, spreading happiness to all those around them. The school itself is in a high poverty are in the nation's capital. It is a high performing charter school where students always come first

My Project

We are requesting 2 different materials. The first is seat sacks. These seat sacks will help our students stay organized and have a place to keep all of their books and other materials needed throughout the day since they have tables and nowhere to put any of their important belongings. The second set of materials are cushions. These cushions will be used for our students to have a comfortable place to sit and read on the floor during the day. This will help foster that love and enjoyment for reading. It will also help our students have the opportunity to comfortably move from their seats since we have long days!

This project is all about making our students lives easier and more enjoyable.

The older students in the school all use seat sacks and this will help our younger students feel special and connected to the older students. The cushions will help create an environment that promotes a joy for learning which we want our students to carry with them throughout their school and life!
