My Project
I teach in a large, diverse school with many needs. My students are an energetic group of second-graders that need movement to learn. They use flexible seating as an option to release their build-up energy. Many students like to rock in their desk chairs which is dangerous. The students can combine movement and learn with wobble stools and rocking chairs. They also help with the mental health of the students by keeping them from disrupting the classroom with their extra energy. My amazing group of second graders deserves the ability to use flexible seating to enhance their learning and concentration to meet their learning goals.
