My Project

I teach general and AP physics. Many times students think physics is just too hard, but it is totally doable and fun. I like to allow my students to have some fun launching rockets. We can use it for the basics of motion, energy, work, power, and forces at both levels. Plus it gets us out of the classroom and outdoors. Plus we can modify the rockets to implement the engineering design process.

Launching rockets can demonstrate these principals in a fun, engaging manner.

It is a great hands on activity that allows for collaboration as well.
