My Students

Our students don't have the advantages a lot of us had growing up. Many of them lack financial and family security, and the resources that neighborhood school have to offer them mirrors that often grim reality. Even walking home can be a dangerous game.

Despite the poverty, the neighborhood crime, and despite the naysayers who don't think a kid from this neighborhood can ever amount to anything, our kids pursue their dreams with stubborn determination.

Nobody is going to tell them what they can and can't be. As their teacher, I can always count on being inspired by their perseverance.

My Project

We need some good amplifiers for gigging in and out of the classroom. Our practice amps work well enough for skill building, but aren't built for performance. These Orange amps pack enough power for our guitarists to be heard over the drums and bass in a performance context.

Every good musician needs the right tools for the job, and our kids are ready for that job.

Assembling that equipment is not cheap, and arts funding is hard to come by. With your help, they'll be able to take that next step on their musical journey, and put their best foot forward on the stage!
