Help Ms. Murphy

Dancing to the beat of education! I am a teacher that teaches at a Title I school in South Carolina. My students love school but sometimes need extra motivation to learn the material. Through completed surveys by students, I have learned that they love music. So I began to use the Schoolhouse Rock series in my classroom. Unfortunately I have to look up songs I need on the Internet and hope that I find it. It would be awesome for my class to have the Schoolhouse rock CD collection! We would greatly appreciate it!

The students I teach are from very low SES homes. Many times they lack the essentials needed to be successful. They look forward to coming to school daily, sometimes it for the breakfast/lunch, while other times it may be for the compassion of the teacher. By allowing the students to learn and express themselves through rhythm, dance, and singing it begins to take their minds off of the troubles they face while at home.

The Cd's requested will allow students to learn key information across the content through music. We will listen to songs they go along with the content we are studying. Students will enjoy the sound of music and learn at the same time.

It doesn't take much to satisfy my students. They are very grateful for everything they receive. We would be extremely thankful if we could be provided with these Schoolhouse Rock Cd's!
