My Project

One of the biggest units in Science is layers of the Earth and fossils. I teach a diverse group of students with limited language. My desire is to make science a hands on and engaging experience that allows students to grasp the heart of this unit while giving tools to develop a richer vocabulary.

With these fossil kits, we will be able to become true geologists as we dive into rock cycles, and uncover fossils.

Students will investigate the fossils. They can apply the rich vocabulary to a real world experience as they work through their examination of the fossils. Students will then label the layer of Earth the fossils can be found in.
