My Students
We have a unique "rock band" class offered at our school. Students are assigned to small groups, or bands. They choose a style of music to focus on, and they choose songs they are interested in playing. There is a great deal of student leadership that goes on in the class in order for all the individual bands to perform successfully.
Students helping other students learn music, it's so perfect!!!
Some students come from affluent homes, but some need some help obtaining instruments to learn. This is how you can help!
My Project
We have a music class where students learn to play the type of music that they listen to on their own free time. We are learning to play guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, and lots more. The problem is that we sometimes have to share instruments and it's disappointing to the students who are not able to play every day.
Kids want to learn to play music, sometimes it's the reason they come to school.
Our school owns one drum set, one electric bass, and one electric guitar. Some students have their own instruments, but some have to share.
