Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third-grade students have just completed reading their first chapter book, The Wild Robot, and are eagerly awaiting the chance to dive into its sequel, The Wild Robot Escapes.

My students have become deeply connected to Roz’s story and are excited to continue her adventures.

By providing each student with a copy of the sequel, along with a robot-themed folder, bookmark, colorful pens, and robot stickers, I plan to maintain that excitement while encouraging active reading, note-taking, and engagement.

These materials will help create a fun and interactive learning environment that fosters a deeper connection to the text.

The robot-themed folder will give students a space to organize their thoughts, reflections, and reading materials, while the bookmark will serve as a visual reminder of their progress through The Wild Robot Escapes, keeping them motivated and on track. The colorful pens will be used to take notes and jot down questions or insights, strengthening their comprehension and writing skills. The robot stickers will reward their effort, making reading even more enjoyable and encouraging students to stay committed. These materials will help students develop organizational and critical thinking skills, boosting their confidence as they become more independent readers.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm and curiosity about the world around them. Despite challenges, they approach learning with positivity and eagerness to explore new ideas. By providing them with the tools to succeed, my goal is to nurture their love for reading, empower them to analyze stories critically, and inspire them to become lifelong learners. Your support will make a lasting impact on their education and growth!
