My Students

My students are so excited to return to school and get back to having hands-on STEAM experiences in our Innovation Lab. We will delve into 3D printing, robotics, and programming, as well as many other hands-on projects. It is so fun to watch their faces light up when they see the results of their own creations.

The students are curious and creative, imaginative, and innovative.

I love hearing their new ideas. We are a diverse school with many cultures and languages, and STEAM experiences are great at bringing everyone together for a common goal.

My Project

My students are so excited about ways to incorporate STEM into our regular curriculum. With the elections upcoming, they really want to get involved however they can. After learning about submitting your ballot is different this year, and all the ways to turn it in, one of the ideas that they came up with was to make videos showing the community how to make sure their vote counts.

With a full class set of Edison Robots, my distance learning students can each take a robot home for several weeks so that they can work hands-on with robots just like their full-time in-person classmates.

This project provides equity in our Innovation Lab for all our students. The students will be using the robots to learn coding, and solve robot challenges. They will also create educational videos that will help our community members learn how to turn their ballots in so that every voice matters.
