Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With Sphero BOLT robots, my students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on STEAM activities that will inspire their creativity and enhance their problem-solving skills. These programmable robots will allow students to learn coding skills in a fun and engaging way while exploring the concepts of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

The use of these robots will provide students with a unique learning experience that will prepare them for the 21st-century workforce.

Sphero BOLT robots will facilitate various STEAM activities, including an introduction to coding. Students will learn the basics of coding through block coding using the Sphero Edu app. Students may program the robots to navigate mazes, draw shapes, and interact with other robots. In math, students can calculate distance and angles and program the robots to complete challenges such as drawing geometric shapes or navigating through obstacles. In science, students can use sensors to conduct experiments, such as measuring light levels or tracking the movement of the robots. Students can create designs using the LED matrix on the robots, exploring the use of color and animation in their art. Finally, students can collaborate to design and build projects using the robots, such as creating a robot soccer game or a robot dance party.
