Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Unfortunately, most of my students don't have technological resources at home due to financial disadvantage.

My students come from a very low socioeconomic neighborhood in the Houston Area.

But, they are very eager to learn new challeging things everyday.

They read books that have specific subject of interesting for them every day to expand their knowledge of the world around them, and just need the resources to help them achieve their dreams and make a better world and their social life.

My Project

My students will have first the opportunity to understand the importance of movement and functions with several Discovering STEM kits that will cover covers gears, levels, linkage, bridges, wheels and axles by having hands-on activities building .

Let's build Robots!

Students will have the chance to implement their science and math skills to work in a team to construct each week a project that involves the building of one unique and challenging robot kit and have the knowledge to build. After the students have the challenge of building several robots that have different functions the students will have the opportunity to print new robotic parts in their three dimensional printer and replace or upgrade parts from the robots.
