My Students

We are a small suburban public school in the largest school district in the nation. My second graders are curious, inquisitive and full of energy! They come to school ready to learn each day. They are a fantastic group of learners.

Community support plays a vital part in enriching the educational program in our classroom.

I am amazed by my students' passion, curiosity, willingness to learn, thirst for knowledge, and perseverance. I want to encourage my students to be well educated, and to be the best people they can be for the world around us. Let's give them the tools to be lifelong learners!

My Project

The Evo Classroom Kits provides 12 robots, student handbooks, and everything we need to introduce Ozobot's two ways to code to our students. The Kit is for grades K-12 and offers a hands-on way to teach coding, computer science, math, art, history, and other subjects way beyond STEM. Evo has programmable features, from sounds to proximity sensors, and an app for installing updates and new features.

Let's re-imagine what students are capable of doing for their language arts and math assignments.

Robotics and coding are key skills that people, and therefore students, need to be competitive in the 21st Century.

The world economy transformed profoundly since the rise of the industrial revolution. Schools teach and test skills, which when mastered, can still leave graduates unprepared for the 21st Century. Let's rethink what a narrative writing assignment could look like if students used coding to move their robot character on a storyboard to illustrate the telling of a narrative story. Consider what sort of educational environment is most likely to succeed in the 21st century.
