My Project

When I think of the potential of introducing robotics and coding to my students my hands begin to shake just thinking of the endless opportunities this can open for them. First and foremost my students will receive equity in education.

Introducing robotics and coding to students in lower socioeconomic schools helps bridge the digital divide.

Access to technology and STEM education is often limited in such communities. By providing these opportunities, we ensure that all students, regardless of their economic background, have access to the tools and skills needed for success in the 21st-century workforce.

A new skill opens the door to different job opportunities. The demand for individuals skilled in robotics and coding is rapidly increasing across various industries. By exposing students in lower socioeconomic schools to these fields, we are preparing them for future job opportunities and empowering them to compete on a level playing field with their peers from more affluent backgrounds.

Not only will my students receive a new skill but they will also be encouraged to use critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills, and most importantly creativity. These skills are invaluable in today's world and are essential for success in both academic and professional settings. By integrating robotics and coding into the curriculum, students in lower socioeconomic schools develop these crucial skills, enhancing their academic performance and prospects.

Providing access to robotics and coding education in lower socioeconomic schools helps close the opportunity gap. It ensures that all students have the chance to explore their interests, develop their talents, and pursue their passions. By investing in these students' education, we create more equitable opportunities for success and contribute to building a more just society.
