My Project

This project will provide students with individual copies of a book that will be used as a novel study in my 4th grade classroom. The Wild Robot by Peter Brown opens up a whole new world with themes of friendship, family, motherhood, nature vs. technology, bullying, helping others, and more. It is an inspiring tale and takes the reader along a journey of a robot who adapts to its surroundings in an unexpected way.

This book has been a game changer as a read-aloud in my classroom over the past two school years as EVERY student is excited and engaged to hear just one more chapter.

We will use the books to help with critical thinking, reading comprehension, fluency, and to build a love of reading. These books contain new characters and new adventures. I can't wait to share them with my students.
