Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year has not be like the past years because of COVID-19. My students are curious and ready to learn! We are a Specialized District 75 Special Education School located in the South Bronx. I have twelve lovely students, who despite the challenges they might face, are thrilled to come to school.

Having access to individual kits with sensory materials will enable them to continue learning comfortably while providing them with safety.

Please help me keep these kinder cuties safe during this global pandemic! Creating a safe and comfortable learning environment is imperative in helping them succeed in school.

My Project

My students have been learning from home this year due to COVID-19. It has not been easy road, and not having the tools to help with self-regulation has been a challenge. My students need some sensory materials to have at home while they continue to learn virtually throughout the summer.

The use of sensory slime, dough, kinetic sand, liquid sensory viewers, and fidget toys are all materials my students can use to help with self-regulation.

Let's help them obtain baggies full of sensory materials that will meet their social and emotional needs!
