My Project

As a fourth grade ELA teacher, I find that my students' favorite part of day is when I read aloud to them and they just get to sit back, relax, follow along, and immerse themselves into the adventures of our characters. I have discovered that my students truly enjoy reading the classics, like C.S. Lewis's "Chronicles of Narnia; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". Former students come back and tell me how much they loved reading that novel together, and will always remember the Narnia classroom transformation that I do while they are reading the last two chapters before Christmas break. It is with this transformation in mind that gave me the idea for the Roald Dahl Author study.

By donating the Roald Dahl gift set, you will provide a learning opportunity like none other for my students that create forever readers.

After reading "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" it is my plan to transform my classroom into Wonka's Chocolate Factory and have themed lessons that focus on the vocabulary, characterization, and common themes in the novel to deepen my students understanding of these commonly tested skills.

By creating these learning opportunities through novel and author studies, my students will hopefully think back to their fourth grade year and remember that this is where their love of reading began. You can be a part of that!
