Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have the privilege of teaching six amazing students in grades 3-5. They are sweet, energetic, and full of wonder. All of my students have communicative disorders and deficits in social as well as cognitive domains. As part of their learning experiences, I strive to create an environment that is safe, fun, and engaging.

It is inspiring to see these students reach milestones that one might take for granted.

With the right support, the sky is the limit for my students!

My Project

Most of my students are diagnosed with Autism and they have deficits in processing information. Any way I can keep the class organized and on task is beneficial and keeps my students focused and gathering new information. The sight word games, beginning sounds games as well as magnetic letters will impact my students tremendously in regards to engaging them with the material. These items will help explain concepts and keep them interested at the same time. Learning should be fun and hands-on and these materials will definitely help achieve that!
