My Project

The Science of Reading (SOR) has become a buzzword in education in recent times. This is not a program or curriculum but rather it is the research on reading and how best to teach it to students. I am one of the reading interventionists in our school and we are implementing the SOR research in our small groups. I am requesting materials to create activities that my students can use to practice the skills they are learning in their groups.

As Marie Montessori stated, "What the hand does, the mind remembers." By giving my students the hands-on materials to practice their reading skills, you are giving my students the opportunity to embed their learning into their long-term memory.
