My Project

Students emotional and academic skills have been impacted over the last few years due to COVID-19. Students within the RISE program have sensory needs, processing disorders, and required supports through functional routines. Students rely on face-to-face instruction to support academics, social/emotional, communication, adaptive functional skills, and related services. During times of instructions, students work for reinforcements which typically are tangible times (gummy snacks, crackers, etc.) and sensory related items (lap bands, blankets, weighted items). Gross motor (bike) activities encourage movement, allow students to regulate in a safe and controlled way.
