My Students

"Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." We've all heard it and my students know that it is true. I am fortunate enough to have all of my students eat breakfast in my room every morning.

My class usually has 25 Kindergarten students.

I have a wide range of abilities in my classroom. Some students will receive services for special education, gifted, speech, and ELL. I am one of six Kindergarten classrooms in our school. Our school has over 800 elementary students.

My Project

With all of my students coming in to eat breakfast, it makes for a challenging time. Some kids will have already eaten at home. Some will eat quickly, while some eat slowly. It makes it difficult to manage 25 students at this flexible time. These materials will be used to create reusable binders that will allow the students to start learning as soon as they are ready. My students need supplies for their morning work binders, such as binders, sheet protectors, pencil pouches, dry erase markers, and magnetic letters. They will be taught to independently utilize these binders to ensure that everyone is on task during this hectic time. The binders will help the students practice reading, math, and even science skills.

This will help me ensure that all students are learning from the moment they come in the door.

This will keep everyone on task and happy. There is no better way to start the day!
