My Project

Most of my students have great behavior and pretty good academic skills. A mixture of my students come from family backgrounds that are in need to family backgrounds that are fortunate. In this case, anything that support my students well-being in math as part of their education will help assist me and their parents financially. I love my students because they have showed me their potential in improving in math even when its not their best subject. My students try hard to excel and succeed for me and themselves. These students will look forward to coming to their math class with all their supplies fulfilling their needs.

I feel helpless when students do not understand a math lesson like adding and subtract fractions.

Even though I can provide visual on the board to explain how to use fractions by making a diagram, I believe having manipulatives as a visual item is better. The reason manipulatives as a visual is better than seeing a diagram on the board is because my students will be able to see and handle the manipulatives that will give them more advantage in practicing math. Having manipulatives will also allow my students to think ahead by analyzing and strategizing the problem(s) they will be working on causing them to be able to solve the problem and explain how they receive their answer in multiple ways.

The calculators are another great handheld product that the students love to subject to. Calculator usage will increase the students improvement in math with the exception of making minor calculation errors. Students in the past could only use calculators for some math skills which made it challenging for them to complete assignments and tests. Therefore, it will give my students the ability to complete their assignments and tests on time.
