My Project

My students are amazing! We have been working all year on developing our skill level with our hand-built ceramic creations! My advanced class has been working tirelessly on improving their wheel-throwing ability, and they are doing really well! They have made coffee mugs, amazing peacock bowls, fountains, and clocks!

Art gives my students a chance to look inside, ask and answer questions to help them develop and recognize a personal identity.

My advanced class is really taking the skills they have developed in their Ceramics 1 course and are building upon them to stretch their abilities and are on their way to a lifelong love of the Ceramics Arts! One thing that really impresses them and me is the new, intriguing glazes! This is often the finishing touch on a project that blows their minds and makes it so they are so proud of their work that they cannot wait to rush it home to share with family and friends.

Providing us with the means to explore the world of RAKU GLAZES to create new amazing combos will give my students a chance for that "OMG!" Moment.
