My Students

Hi, my name is Josh Moore and I am a 7th-grade math teacher. I want to take a moment to introduce my amazing scholars who will be entering my classroom this year. I am honored to have the privilege to teach the amazing class of 2025!

From what I know of them, they are outstanding KIPPsters who truly embody our character traits of grit, zest, curiosity, optimism, gratitude, and self-control.

Not only do these rockstars deserve an education, but they also deserve the best, most equitable, most data-driven education.

I am gearing up for their introduction to 7th-grade math and this year, I want to create a space in which they can feel that people care about them, have peace of mind in a room, and be comfortable while being educated

My Project

The pencil sharpener, pencils, pencil case, and markers will help kickstart our school year by having supplies ready for students. Students quickly run out of things like pencils so have a small stock of them on hand and ready to give to kids when they need them will be super helpful.

Kids will feel empowered and cared for by entering an environment that's colorful, spirited and energetic, and won't feel embarrassed for not having basic needs.

They will be able to be a part of the learning environment and be able to collaborate with their teammates. I also want to improve the smaller things around the classroom; a printer for when the printer jams and a speaker since there isn't any audio in the room from the board.
