My Students

That's my spot, teacher... Students express this thought everyday. Young students need a steady and comfortable place to sit in order to focus.

My students are caring, kind, and eager learners.

The school they attend is located in a low income area. The school is surrounded by numerous apartment buildings. Many of my students live in overcrowded apartments with multiple families. I know that my students will enjoy and appreciate their brand new carpet.

My Project

It is difficult to have students focus when they are not in a comfortable learning environment. The carpet will provide my students with organized seating. During circle time, students will be able to have a great view of all group activities. My students will be able to explore letters and shapes, which are imprinted on the carpet. Having their own roomy space to sit on will allow my students to be comfortable and focused.

Your generous donation will have a positive impact on my students.

My students will be able to develop letter identification skills, practice alphabet sequencing and build shape recognition skills. The cozy color coded carpet will make it easy for my students to divide into small groups. This will make the transition period more effective.
