Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Being surrounded by a class of opinionated and intelligent curious minds never ceases to amaze me. From our year of remote learning, back to in-person instruction, I find that students are resilient, adaptable, and motivated to learn. My days are a constant shower of excitement, motivation, and pride from my lively group of fourth-graders.

The moment students entered campus after a year of digital instruction, their faces lit up, and they were determined to make this year the best one yet!

Each and every student brings their own unique perspective to our classroom, making my group of vivacious fourth-graders full of intellect and personality. Each day I spend with these amazing learners is a valuable experience, and I look forward to accompanying them on their journey through fourth grade!

My Project

A behavioral management system is a key part of every classroom community. In our grade level, we encourage students to use their positive behavior points to purchase useful materials that will enhance their learning!

This group of avid note takers will seize the opportunity to earn supplies to make their notes vibrant and easy to read.

Highlighters, gel pens, and fun erasers give them the opportunity to personalize their learning with visual cues that will guide any learner to success. I try to keep our prize box supplied, but it is always helpful to have contributions to ensure students have a variety of materials that all students will be excited to choose from.

The water bottles indicated would also be an excellent addition to the prize box, since we are still not using the water fountains at our school. We do, however, have a water bottle refill station that students could use throughout the day.

All of these materials would be used on a regular basis in our classrooms, which would make them excellent prizes for students to use their classroom points to purchase. Please consider donating to our 4th grade prize box! Thank you so much for your generosity!
