My Project

My students come from a economically impoverished community and don't always have access to the latest educational technology. I want to change this by introducing a coding and robotics unit into their curriculum.

Students are required to have a minimum of 20 hours per year in the field of computer science in elementary; this project provides for that and more!

Students will have the opportunity to build and hone skills that will serve them well into adulthood helping ensure they are college and career ready upon graduation.

Coding and robotics are a gateway to better math, science, and reading skills for reluctant learners. My students will love seeing the robots they've built display their mastery of design thinking, a 21st century skill and beyond.
