This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help the students at my school rev up their resilience to gain remarkable results!

The students at my school are amazing and have a ton of inner strength to face various obstacles in their personal lives!

However, having worked at my school for a number of years, I noticed that many students lack encouragement and/or motivation to work through their classwork or assignments. Attendance has also greatly decreased since Covid. Students get discouraged or feel "burned out" more than ever. Students at times don't have the language to express these feelings, but it is noticeable in their output (assignments, projects and overall attendance).

The goal of this project is to enhance motivation, attendance, and resilience among the students by providing them with tools for encouragement and support. Through the use of affirmation chips, motivational bracelets, and motivational quote cards, students will be empowered to stay focused on their classwork, attend school regularly, and develop resilience when encountering challenging assignments or tasks.

The affirmation chips will serve as tangible reminders of not only praise, positive reinforcement and encouragement, but also, help students maintain focus and enthusiasm for learning.

The motivational quote cards will be provide a visual reminder of their commitment to attendance. Coupled with uplifting messages on the quote cards, it will inspire students to prioritize their education and strive to be present every day.

When faced with difficult tasks or projects, motivational bracelets will serve as sources of inspiration and encouragement for students. By offering uplifting messages and reminders of their inner strength, these bracelets will help students develop resilience and perseverance in overcoming obstacles when facing difficult tasks, projects or even decisions!

Help our students be reminded of the inner strength they all possess, so that they can reach new heights and create awesome results!
