My Project
In my 8th-grade English Language Arts class, I'm continually inspired by the diversity and curiosity of my students. As we near the end of the year, I eagerly anticipate our dive into George Orwell's "Animal Farm," a novella primed to spark their inquiry skills for high school and beyond.
To execute this project effectively, I seek multiple copies of "Animal Farm" by George Orwell.
Through Orwell's allegorical tale, students will explore themes of power, corruption, and societal structures, developing historical context and analytical prowess.
Supplementary materials, including multimedia resources and texts, will enrich our discussions and deepen comprehension, fostering a love for reading and equipping students for future success.
To create an optimal learning environment, I also request bean bag seating for flexible arrangements, classroom snacks to sustain energy, a class set of earbuds for multimedia activities, and bookmarks for engagement.
My goal is to nurture a passion for reading and cultivate skills vital for high school and beyond. By immersing themselves in "Animal Farm," students will sharpen critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
What sets my students apart is their diverse backgrounds and inquisitive nature. Their willingness to engage with challenging material and learn from one another impresses me daily.
