This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a middle school teacher, I want to give my students the same fun, energetic, and nostalgic gym class experience many of us grew up with in the 90s. Currently, our physical education program is limited by old and worn-on equipment, leaving students with fewer opportunities for engaging in exciting activities.

This project aims to revitalize our gym by bringing back classic 90s gym class staples that foster teamwork, fitness, and sheer joy.

With your help, we can provide our students with: scooter boards for races obstacle courses, and creative team challenges; badminton sets to introduce students to a fast-paced and fun racket sport; hula hoops for agility drills and contests; jump ropes for individual cardio and double-dutch fun; parachutes to encourage teamwork and games like "popcorn" and "the wave."

The goal is to reignite the joy of physical activity, foster teamwork and collaboration, promote fitness and health, and create lasting memories.
