My Project

Our school district boasts the most diverse student population in our state and is the fifth most diverse district in the country! We are a Title 1 school with an aging library collection and it is time to update and bring in new titles.

It is our mission in the library to make sure that every child sees themselves and their interests well-represented on our shelves.

When students are allowed to choose their own books, it can have many benefits, including increased motivation, increased reading achievement, a sense of ownership, inspiring meaningful conversations, improved social skills, and giving teachers insight into students personalities and interests.

Your donation will give our students fresh, inspiring choices and will excite them about reading!
