Help me give my students get science boards for their Science Fair this April-May. Our old boards, used for nearly 10 years, were disposed of due to damage. We need new ones for our projects. Thank you!

My Project

I have been a J1 teacher at Unalaska City School District for almost three years, and during my first year, I had the incredible opportunity to organize a Science Fair where students proudly showcased their investigatory projects. It was truly inspiring to see their confidence grow as they presented their work using display boards. Later, I learned from fellow teachers and staff that these boards had been used for nearly a decade in Science Fairs organized by previous science teachers. Knowing they had served students for so long warmed my heart, but it was also bittersweet, as most were now too damaged to use. While it was hard to part with something that had helped so many students take pride in their work, I knew it was time to replace them and continue inspiring my students.

With your generous support, new display boards will provide my students with a fresh platform to present their scientific discoveries with confidence.

These boards will not only enhance their learning experience but also teach them the importance of effectively communicating their research. My goal is to empower them to think critically, explore scientific concepts, and take ownership of their learning.

What makes my students special is their resilience and curiosity. Despite being in a small, remote community, they embrace every learning opportunity with enthusiasm. By providing them with these resources, you are helping them develop essential skills and a strong sense of accomplishment. Your kindness will make a lasting impact on their education and future aspirations. Thank you for believing in them!
